You can often find yourself wanting change, wanting something new to occur, or a change of scenery. When change does comes many face resistances, the fear of the unknown. The worry it won’t work out or that they’ll end up going backwards in their journey.
Change can be something you create yourself.
In business, change can be thrown upon you and you cringe at the unknown possibilities or the insecurities that comes with change.
The types of changes you can experience in your business are;
- Clients finishing up, not renewing or stopping for whatever reason
- Steady income being thrown into chaos because work hasn’t flourished as we’d hoped
- Being asked to present or do something outside our comfort zone, or that we haven’t done before
- Collaborating with someone new and fear of it not working
- Needing to grow your business to the next level
The emotions that come with change can be paralysing or make you feel like throwing in the towel because you feel it’s all too hard, or it’s never going to work for us.
Especially when you have put so much energy into creating your business and wanting to get it flourishing.
Change isn’t always a bad thing, yes it can be scary for some and exhiliariting for others.
Often change can mean a new potential opportunity coming your way. A new door opening up. A bigger and better door.
We have to have the right mindset to be open to it, to welcome it, and to be able to see it.
Trust me, that can be hard at times, especially when your dealing with your emotions and mindset of the change that has happened and questioning yourself why?
Why didn’t the client stay?
Why didn’t they renew?
Why doesn’t anyone want to work with me?
Why isn’ my business an overnight success?
The endless list of WHY.
It’s normal. You are normal. You aren’t the first one to experience it. And you aren’t the first person to want to throw in the towel.
What you have to remember is WHY you started your journey. You need to be welcoming to new opportunities or possibilities. Because really, you do not know what or who is around the next corner.
I know from my own personal experiences, when one door has closed and whilst at the immediate time I’ve felt disheartened and complete flattened. Within a couple of week and new bigger and better door has opened. And whilst the emotions can be strong and the mindset challenging, believing in myself and that the best is yet to come is one of the key essentials in allow me to welcome what is about to present itself.
You need to trust yourself and that amazing prospects are coming your way. You have worked hard for them, and you rightly deserve them. Don’t forget that.
If you are caught up in the realms of the negativity why’s. I would encourage you to stop and revisit your business and identify why you started your journey and look at how far you’ve come to, to get to today.
And it’s important to remember that ‘Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.’ George Bernard Shaw
There is NO POINT stressing over what you can not change. You just need to be open to what possibilities can come.
IT TAKES COURAGE TO LET GO OF THE FAMILIAR AND EMBRACE THE NEW.
You know you can do it.
I know you can do it.
So do it. Embrace it. Feel it. Don’t be scared of it. Let it flow to you. Welcome it.
If you are feeling completely lost and need to look at what strategies to take next in your business, then invest in yourself and your business and let’s work together to get you where you need to be.
